Sorimachi is brilliant in this role! His character develops from a self centered, uncaring father and spouse to a sensitive, responsible, sacrificing father. Along the way, the audience becomes emotionally invested in his character and his suffering child. The story has an unexpected twist that will take the wind out of you. Even if you've already read the novel, this drama will touch your heart. If you can stand the pain, this drama is a must see.
