Honestly, I was a bit skeptical when I first started watching this drama. It was hilarious, fun, romantic and it was all too good to be true. I figured that like most dramas, it'd all have to come to an end and get serious and drag us so far away from the way we felt in the beginning it'd be like watching a different drama all together. I was wrong. There is nothing wrong with this drama; except that it could've lasted longer - you know, like forever. The chemistry in this drama is just too good to be true, and I honestly want to see Yoochun & Ji Min together in another drama. It'd be perfect

The cast, in every aspect was unforgettable. I felt so much for our secondary characters; The heart break and the good times. I even thought I felt a little bit for the evil duo. They're all EXCELLENT at what they do and sold us the story. Perfectly. Oh & the soundtrack is one of the best of the year, been on repeat all week tbqh. Good going drama, now I'm going to hold every drama this year up to your standards.

I will get so much hatred for what follows, I'll better go on a vacation for a while.

The premise: I dropped this drama 5 times before finally completing it. The reason why I picked it up again is the most shallow and childish you can think of: the crush on an actor. It embarrasses me no end, but what can I do?
I am the cause of my own suffering.
The reason why I didn't drop it a sixth time as every cell in my body screamed I should, is that when I reached episode 11 I was so bored and annoyed by this drama, the desire to write a review became stronger than the torture itself.
Also, I have let some time pass after the watch before I started writing, because I wanted to use my brain and not my stomach (or heart, in this case it's the same thing).

Let's go in order.
The Plot. There is a fantastic word in French to describe such a plot: a bric-a-brac. It is a fairy tale, which is fine, it's full of elements of fantasy, which is fine, but instead of following a cohesive narrative as required by any story, fantastic or real, it keeps on throwing in new explanations and solutions until nothing makes sense anymore, not even in a fantasy world. We have a Gumiho and suddenly we find out she was made out of the ashes/fire of a Goblin. A GOBLIN? You mean legendary little monsters with either green or red skin, pointed ears and tons of malice? That's not how the half ghost remembers her. Wait, this Goblin turned Gumiho turned half human also gave half of her "ki" (another element popped out of the blue on episode... 13 I think) to a human who gave up half of his life but also has half a ki and drank twice the bead and died and came back to life and then the eclipse...
Ok, I stop here before I turn as crazy as the plot. This story is utterly ridiculous, even when, I repeat, I let time pass and somehow digested it all.
Did I mention the cheese, the sugary dialogues, the repetition of lines, flashbacks, situations? Better not.

The characters.
Oh please kill me.
If you think Gumiho is a fox, you're mistaken: she's a dog. She goes from talking about cow meat every MINUTE of every single episode to the middle, to taking about her Dae Woong every minute of every episode till the end. She depends so much on him that even when the stakes get higher and she decides for a sacrifice in the name of love, it's not suspenseful anymore. It's irritating, predictable and humiliating. As a woman, I find her character insulting. Like a dog, she stays glued to him with a persistence and complete lack of reasoning which is the exact opposite of romantic.
She threatens to disappear at least 4 times, and every time she changes idea and we are back to square one.
Dae Woong has at least a little character development, but stays a bi-dimentional person anyway. His losing his parents when he was a kid is mentioned and never elaborated: why mentioning it, then? The zoo trauma is treated in such a superficial way it's ridiculous.
And the fact that he loves a woman who has the brain of a 4 year old child and the attitude of a loyal dog doesn't play much in his favour.
The "half ghost" Dong Joo passes his time watching an hourglass with one eye and his magic knife with another, repeating to himself the same sentences over and over and playing in his mind the same memory at least 12 times. I still have to understand whether his contribution to the plot is to be there and show his sexy emo haircut or add to the comedic.
The others aren't even worth mentioning: the usual, trite, spiteful, envious girl, the always oblivious friends, the silly grandfather, a farting aunt and the bad double of Chow Yun Fat. Oh yes, the dog (the real one) is wonderful.

The acting of the main leads is decent. The others are, once again, not worth mentioning.

The music is repetitive. Very much so. There is one nice song, but by the end I couldn't hear it anymore, so many times it was played.

I know this sounds harsh and I know I won't be received with sympathy. But given the number of good reviews this thing got, I don't feel like I'm doing any harm to it by stating my honest opinion.
If you want an overdose of cheese, watch this.

I am pretty much in love with this drama. If you like fairy tales with a modern edge, you will like this drama. It's not meant to be serious or acting that isn't exaggerated, after all, it is a fairy tale. But, it's also not meant to be taken lightly. I think this show realistically portrays how a young woman might feel like finding out she's actually a princess.

The "bad guys" are the worst! they are so well acted and fit in the fairy tale theme so well. Also, the dudes are pretty hot too.

The music wasn't that memorable, and the story at times can be fragmented, but I think all that works out in the end.

Sometimes I miss not watching this show, and will watch an episode that I liked most!

I really liked the live version of switch girl. As a fan of the manga, i was excited that it really followed the manga story line and left the characters the same. First off let me say the Switch girl concept lives in every girl so it is not a novel idea, it is the way the mangaka presented it that made it soooo funny. I have never seen nishiuchi mariya in a drama before nor was i aware that she was really a model, but she was cast perfectly in this role. I totally believed that she was my beloved Nika, her expressions were awesome, her off mode was just as convincing as her on mode. However, on the other hand Kiriyama Ren wasn't that great to me. Hes cute but he really just made me want to watch mizushima hiro play the role (although hes too old to really do it). the supporting characters were awesome caricatures (they were supposed to be) constantly bringing the funny.
It made me sad that the episodes were short and it seemed like they crammed a lot of concepts into under 30 minutes, so the drama did feel rushed. On the upside there is never a dull moment in the drama, the characters are constantly moving. To all the manga fans, the drama is toned down and cool for the 14 and under crowd. Yet, to be honest I dont think i would have found this drama as awesome as i did without being a fan of the manga first (which is not yet completed). I did enjoy seeing real live people act out one of favorite mangas; enough to grit my teeth, rely on my own Japanese skills and finish the series no subs.
Happy watching.

After reading the manga and watching the anime I had some unrealistically high hopes for this drama. I was expecting it to do what the anime and manga had failed to do. I wanted to finish the story and finally get to the happily ever after. I wanted closure. When the drama first came out I tried to wait a little, because knew I would die if I had to wait for a new episode every week. But after a couple days I gave in. From the amazing theme song that is still in my head in the first episode to the unsatisfying ending in episode 15, everything was awesome. The story was almost the same as the manga and anime and yet at the same time it felt like a whole new drama. The actors were great. The main actress was hilarious, and at times I laughed so hard I had to pause it just to catch my breath. The acting was superb. And the fact that Choi Si Won was playing Ren just made it icing on the cake. I don’t think I can re-watch this right now because it would just remind me all over again about how much I cant wait for the rest of it. Watching this drama was an amazing experience; even the waiting. Every week the actors and the drama just go better and better. You knew what to expect and what was most likely going to happen yet you were still surprised.

I watched this movie just because of Kim Sun Ah performance. And as I thought she did not disappointed me. Her performance was really good and I enjoyed her scenes a lot.

But the rest... well movie is slow for mine taste. I fast forwarded it a lot. Main lead annoyed me, his not a bad actor just his role was so immature and hot-tempered. Story is decent but expected, movie did not surprised me, not even once. It's about someone with great talent but also great ego that he must overcome to became better person to win back his family.

Music was a great fit for this story, encouraging in many scenes. Overall this movie is decent. I cannot recommend it nor dissuaded it. If you want to see movie about baseball player and his relations with his family you could watch this movie.

This was definitely an attempt to capture some of the excitement of You're Beautiful. Other than a female acting like a male, the similarities are totally different. The OTP recognize their attraction pretty quickly and the male lead, Park Yoo Hwan and female lead Go Eun Ah did a pretty decent job in acting. My only problem is this was obvious cut back in episodes so the last episode made no sense to me at all. I felt rush and a lot happened that was glossed over. But if you enjoy Kpop, the singers are very good and a lot of recognizable groups play supporting roles.

This movie is about how a great teacher can influence his students till the rest of they life. Kim Soo Ro role is outstanding - his everywhere watching over his students. His hilarious in this movie. I couldn't stop laughing.

Such a warm story about how can we overcome stereotypes and prejudices. How can we become someone better if only one person will have faith in us.

This movie is worth watching, although it's not movie that I will remember for ever but after watching it I felt warmth in my heart. Great story that can make you cry and laugh in the same time.

This drama was absolutely amazing.

I started watching this drama because a friend had told me so much about it. She knew I was a sucker for romance, and thought I'd enjoy this drama.

The music was mesmerizing, and fantasically helps display the different emotions portrayed in the drama. The cast was perfect. The two leading roles had sizzling chemistry. :D

The plot was very interesting. It kept me watching episode by episode...I didn't skip any parts!!

I especially loved how the plot of this super amazing drama makes the viewers think if there is a "fated" or "destined" person out in the world for them (if you watch the drama, you'll understand what I mean).

I honestly recommend this drama for viewers who are looking for a romantic, historical-modern, and comedic drama. Or, for viewers who are looking for dramas that could help the time past. This is also the perfect drama to cry and laugh to.

Also, in terms of the rewatch value, I gave it a 10, because the drama captures so much detail. The filiming was beautifully captured. :)

"The Rooftop Prince" is definitely one of my favourite dramas ever!! I finished this drama in three days. That's how great this is!

This drama is a one case per episode type which is good for watching the series gradually. The main character's story and development and the changes in the class are the things linking each episodes together gradually resulting in a finale.

I liked that she was not just a teacher but had a little focus on her personal life as well, so it's not just about the children and the classroom. However the main focus still falls on them and the cases are strongly focusing on common issues/problems in the classroom, parenting mistakes and childhood problems. Some of the episodes are very touching and the role of the teacher is very well played and is according to real life expectations (=great patience). Overall I enjoyed the show very much and I definitely will watch the second season as soon as I can.

It might seem to be too short because of the seven episodes but I didn't feel missed out on anything. Sure there is place for more but that's true for all good shows!

Though my scores are low, you should still watch this drama!!!! This was the very first K-drama I watched. I found it on Netflix and started watching it one day in the summer when I was sick. I spent about 16 episodes questioning why I was still watching the show. Then BAM! I couldn't stop watching. When I finished, I immediately made my boyfriend watch it. Oddly enough, he likes this show too. I read somewhere that Boys Over Flowers is a lot like crack: Not that good for your brain, but want MOAR!

The scores are low partly because this looked like it was filmed using a phone camera. The editing and quality are poor. The music is a bit ridiculous. Whenever there's a life-endangering scene, the song "Almost Paradise" comes on. It is totally not appropriate for those scenes. Even the acting was pretty mediocre.

This show should really just be called "The Lee Min Ho Show". Lee's character is the only one with any depth. Ji Hu is pretty much the worst ever. Incredibly pretty, but lacks any acting skills.

Even though this review is harsh, you should still watch the show! It's fun, ridiculous, and Lee Min Ho is a god.

This is definitely one of the saddest movies I have ever seen. It is told in a dreamy and lovely, but also desperate and sad point of view.

I have never read "The Little Prince", but this movie just made me really appreciate the story. I think I will read it to my son.

The acting was incredible, especially Kang Soo-Han's. It must have been a hard role to portray, but he did a great job.

The music was very good, too, though it wasn't really that important.

The movie sequence in the end, an alternation of "The Little Prince" I think, was unbelievably sad.

All in all, this was a wonderful movie that I warmly recommend to everyone.

This drama is based on mastering sports, yet the most focus has fallen on the family ties and connections between people and their past history. I liked this one a lot because it has a gradual yet interesting build-up through the show - nothing felt left out but it did not bore me even once. The cast is excellent and the characters show a wide variety of characteristics. It is possible that therefore some of these characters are not to everyone's taste but this makes the show more real as it introduces clashing personalities from different ages and backgrounds. As these clashes/problems are dealt with lots of surprises come out. This drama has a very interesting plot to gradually explore.

If you like daily life excitement and great emotions I don't think this show will disappoint you. It did not for me!

Chow enters the Forbidden City as an undercover agent disguised as a eunuch, becoming involved in a complicated Ching vs Ming plot. Wonderful spoof of Jin Yong style wu xia pian, with manic plotting and martial arts.

The action from Ching Siu-Tung is some of his best work, featuring wild and insane choreography that really brings the kind of supernatural martial arts skills Jin Yong wrote about to life.

Hilarious, as per usual Stephen chow with his trademark nonsense comedic acting. What else can i elaborate. If you find this movie interesting, go on and try watching the second one (Royal Tramp 2). It's an easy watching comedy film.

Cecilia Cheung certainly started her film career with a bang. “Fly Me to Polaris” hits all the sentimental, bathetic and mawkish changes with the subtlety of a Yao Ming slam dunk. It is a formula weeper, a tasteless trip into the heart of a cloying fairy tale. In other words it has a role that almost any actress would love to do and Cecilia wrings every drop of pathos from it. She was terrific. I cried a lot and I think our cat shed a tear or two.

I recommend you to keep box of tissue besides you while you watch this tear-jerker film.

Needless to say more, it's a recommended movie.
