The whole story is about a very energetic guy called Yuuki. He finds out that he has a disease only 8 people have ever had. Nobody knows the cause of it and it doesn't even have an official title. But Yuuki stays realy strong even when he hears it. He just asks to make up a title for it so that he would know the name of the demon he's fighting. And he stays a synonym to enegy and courage (jap. yuuki-courage). Even the friends who come to visit him say : "I came to encourage him but he ended up encouraging me".
Oh, yeah, one of many things I noticed and loved is that in the beginning of this movie Junji-san said that "Yuuki is nothing special - just someone to spend time together in a foreign country." and then later on he was like : " I thought we could follow wherever he went. I thought our road together was forever." And he talked about how in their 60's they would still be friends and talk about how bad the pensions are. That was touching. TT^TT
So, if you're down and want encouragement and/or just want to cry this is definitely a MUST WATCH! ^^

I would like to mainly focus on just one aspect of Orange Days (though I’m sure I’ll end up mentioning a lot of stuff anyway): how it shows the time of your life when you start to love someone more than your own family, who means something completely different to you and can give you a completely different sort of happiness.
There’s a moment late in the series where Sae’s mom tells Kai he has no business meddling with Sae’s health issues, since he’s a stranger. It’s an understandable attitude coming from a mother. She’s worried about Sae, and she sees this boy Kai as relatively unimportant in the scheme of things. But what we’ve learned throughout the show is that Kai is not just a stranger. In fact, to Sae, he’s become her most important person. She has her friend Akane who she can talk to, sure, but when it comes to Kai, it’s different. There’s a great conversation in the show where Sae talks about what she imagines her future to be like, and in every scenario, Kai is there. The series is largely about the crucial time when the bonds and friendships you’re going to have for the rest of your life are created; it’s something different than your family, because this is something that you created yourself.
It’s something that’s inevitable. We each create our own world, separate from our parents at some point during our life. One of the key struggles for Sae is trying to figure out how to deal with her loyalty and love for her mother (and respecting her feelings) while still trying to be true to her own heart and do what she wants to do. In a sense, these thoughts and feelings are a little selfish. We must come to the conclusion that our happiness is what matters the most, and to seek that will mean forgoing some other person’s idea of happiness. Sae tries to go along with her mom’s vision of her happiness, because she’s trying to be a good daughter and she respects all the sacrifices that her mom had to make because of Sae’s illness. But it is not her happiness. Kai, the one who can make her laugh, the one who can make her cry, the one who can make her feel like “just a girl.” In Orange Days, Sae and Kai change each other’s lives, they motivate each other to keep trying hard, they hurt each other deeply; no one else could do those things for them. So when Sae’s mom calls Kai a stranger, the audience immediately knows that she is wrong. Who else could Sae share her fears, her insecurities, her tears, other than with the one she truly loves? No one could provide the same comfort, the same assurance that he could.
Most love stories are about this, in the end. But they rarely affect me with the same power as Orange Days does. Perhaps it’s because I relate more to the college setting, the level of maturity and self-awareness of the characters that this strikes me as the best Asian drama series I’ve ever seen. Most of these shows are fun, charming, and all that, but it’s very rare that I find one that I think has beauty and grace. It’s a show that dares you to become a better person. After watching Kai and Sae try their best to find their happiness, it’s up to us to go forward and seek out our own.

I liked that not only the development of the relationship between the protagonists was focused upon, they also gave time to view the latest development in Next Innovation and the Personal File project though of course with the big stress on the romantic line.
This special felt more real to me, meaning to say it expressed points in human relationships (especially between couples) that many can relate to. that those two's characters are so different you don't find any trouble imagining them having clashes if they are to live together.
It felt nice to make sure that love is not all about being lovey-dovey and happy all the time, there are times when difference in character and ways of thinking causes trouble in relationships. In a sense this special episode gave more meaning and depth to the drama's ending, I'm so glad they produced it.
I just have one tiny gripe against this episode.
I'll explain this just to be sure everyone knows this piece of information (which btw I didn't know before watching the special), This special covers events which took place during the 1 year & 9 months period which gets fast forwarded in the final scenes of the drama's finale, to be more precise after the scene where he sends her off at the airport.
So supposedly the finale's final scene where she comes back to japan and pays a visit to the company out of the blue takes place after the special's story. While the picture of the newly weds' on the wall that they showed in the finale nicely connects the dots, they still made one big mistake (at least imo), the Brazilian flag she has on her cheeks!! she's supposed to have been in Boston you know!!
Still, that mistake can be over looked since we know they didn't intend to make the special at that stage yet. But you know, why the need to make it in the US in the first place, why didn't they stick with Brazil and just made a Brazilian company buy the one where she was working at, but then that would need to make him go to Brazil for work instead which wouldn't make sense right?
Anyways, with all that being said, I really recommend this drama and special of course to any J-Drama fan out there.

Her relationship with King Sukjong, and the tragedies.
I think, the villain here is Choi Suk Bin beside Heo Jeok/The western faction/Ja Kyung. hehehe.. Have been waiting to see Suk Bin's bad side since Dong Yi.
Acting/cast: One word. Awesome. This drama got Kim Tae Hee (IRIS, My Princess) and Yoo Ah In (Sungkyunkwan Scandal, Fashion King) as the main lead! Also Hong Soo Hyun (The Princess Man) as Queen Inhyun. The other cast were already experienced too in kdramaland so you will recognized them directly (if you usually watch historical dramas)
Music: It's not bad, but not so good too. I found the music's so-so
Overall: Actually, I found this drama more interesting than Gu Family Book. I don't know why but I just feel like that. The storyline's interesting and the main lead seems more love-birds-like. Kim Tae Hee did a very good job on potraying Jang Ok Jung.

The story's the normal high school plot. Cast is good and the music's less but compensating.
For me it is a one time watch. It makes you happy and realize that you can't just sit back and miss the awesome school life because your friends and ambitions make you realize what you want to pursue in future :)
Overall, its a drama of hope, goodness, faith, dreams, aspirations, learning and never backing down. A light drama and easy to finish.

I really loved the actors they chose for this drama. Both of the leads were astounding, and had an amazing gift with subtle facial expressions. They both owned their roles.
This story questions the true meanings of justice and truth, as well as exploring redemption and atonement. It was beautifully filmed, beautifully acted, and well put together.

While yes, it does fill some typical Taiwan cliches and yes, the story isn't anything out of this world, but that's okay because the drama sis what it was supposed to do - make you laugh, smile, and feel for the characters. And the biggest reason I loved this drama so much is because of these characters and chemistry they had - the hilarious manager, the loud but supportive BFF, the quirky office workers, almost everyone in the cast did a great job.
I also loved the bickering and cute moments that the main couple shared. In all, I have to say: ALL ROY FANS THIS IS A MUST WATCH, but even if you are not familiar with the cast or Taiwanese dramas, I still recommend this to those who enjoy a fun to watch, breezy show. If you feel that it starts to drag, just skip those parts and watch all the way to the end becuz that wedding kiss in the last ep is BAM!

The actors are great. The story had promise but it just dragged. Sad to say with only 12 episodes.
They tried to create a good bro-mance but I didn't really feel it. The love triangle was too self-sacrificing for me.
I won't re-watch it and as much as I like Wang Jiro and Tang Danson I just can't do it again.
