Definitely a movie to watch! Sweet & Down-to-Earth.

A drama about learning to accept the environment around you and being able to accept the changes that come along with it.

Let me organize this into categories:

Story:

Unique storyline. A Mixture of Cute Comedy. The former "Pride" mature female lead is being forced to be downgraded into an airline company called "Cherry" where she previously worked at a prestigous airline company for 10 years. With lack of employees, they decide to hire new trainees in order to make their company a "low-cost", "affordable", and "cost-efficent" airline. Her struggles is from losing her high-class airline reputation, attempting to "fit" in with the low-cost airline company with previous training experience in excellent customer service to handling her bosses' beliefs for the company and their unexpected behaviours.

If you like a light comedy with a business side and tiny lessons to be learned, this is a drama for you.

Music:

Constantly playing random, cheesy Americanized (1990's, early 2000's) songs being played throughout the movie such as
"Survivor by Destiny's Child,"Like a Virigin" by Madonna, "Crazy in Love" by Beyonce (x2), "American Pie" by Don McLean, "You Gotta Be By Des'ree", "A Thousand Miles" by Vanessa Carleton, "Stay" by Lisa Loeb, "Some Say Love" by LeAnn Rimes, and many others....

-Music needs to be transitioned better and most of time distracting the plot and cast of the story. It made absolutely no sense and no attachment to the storyline.
Barely any instrumental music in between except the Americanized songs.

The only recognizable song at the end of the film is "Poster Girls" and the only song that fitted well with the film.

Acting/Cast:

At times, a little overreacting but a nice ensemble of characters that are well-fitted together. Clownish, yet cute. Enjoyed the main female lead's character and her expressions! She's quite good. The adorable, silly trainees is a necessary addition for the cast.

Overall, this movie have some powerful lessons that are portrayed, all mixed in together with comedy, life and the power of friendship and career dedication.

There was nothing great about this drama except maybe the attempt to touch some taboo topics in Korean culture. I do mean touch as in lightly graze. Alright alright they didn't graze the pregnancy issue, but everything else including abortion was surface. Perhaps they were too weighty of subjects I don't know. I do know that the story has holes, too many holes. The holes made me unable to actually like or really care about the lead characters save 1. I'm a big Kim Sun Ah fan and I watched I Do, I Do solely (pun intended) because she was in it. For the first time I did not like her. I did not dislike her, but I did not like her. I did not care about her or the fact that she was pregnant. The 2 leads lacked chemistry. Since the Koreans film and air with barely any time in the middle, one would think when the leads have more chemistry with other characters they'd do something. Ji Sung or whatever her name is wound up with the wrong man. The idea that the 2 characters would even be attracted to one another and/or that she would fall for him is preposterous even for a romcom. I Do, I Do is closer to an I Don't, I Don't I think (I think). It goes from 4 to 6 simply because of the 2nd leads and supporting cast.

The first episode was GREAT!! It was a good transition from the first season and it really matches the outline of the first season. Yukawa is great as always, trying to put science into "mysterious" crimes. I was kind of sad to see Utsumi go, but the new lead has her own style and it will be interesting to see the relationship between Yukawa and Kishitani progresses. I can't wait for the next episode!

I read the reviews as i watched it and honestly almost dropped it by the negativity from them especially when people stated how bad the ending was - the ending is the BEST PART; but luckily i literally went with my emotions and i am SO SO SO HAPPY i did not drop it.

This is by far the BEST live show i have watched so far. Even when i think of my anime list; it surpasses it - although could be on the same level as 'Watashitachi no Shiawase na Jikan'(Manga).
These stories drag you in as the story goes on that you start to feel emotions like you are living them yourself

Despite its slow progression, for once i was hooked each episode that i finished it in less than 24hrs.
I felt as the lies started being explained, it totally made sense why certain people, had such tense relationships. And as each person's past choices started being revealed; the acting of each actor portrayed such sincerity and passion that i literally felt pure understanding and empathy.

MUSIC:
Each piece of music sorted the moment; even though certain songs were repeated; it did not matter because the emphasized the emotions of the scene each time.
At times i would just sit their rewarding certain songs (hahaha)

ACTING:
No negative comment about the acting of Jo In Sung and Song Hye Kyo because their truly portrayed their characters so well; at times i felt the story as true

The drama was really great adapted. The actors really suited their roles. Those scenes with their background looked great and fit the manga.

The only thing i disliked was that trivial story. The manga is really long and each chara has so much background story. For that was the drama with only 8 episodes and only 26 minutes for every episode too short. I only got to know the charas and before i could get into the story and like the charas, it was finished.

At the end of all, this drama could have done much more with even more episodes.

I was reluctant to watch this drama at first because of its length. But when I began watching up until I reached the last episode, I never felt that it was long at all.

There's nothing really special about the story. It's the same old family drama with all the adulteries, birth secrets and such. But what makes this drama special is the way it touched not just my heart, but also the entirety of my soul. It just struck through my heart effortlessly. Perhaps that's thanks to the cast who gave a pretty solid acting. But it was indeed Yoon Shi Yoon who stood out. His portrayal of the determined Kim Tak Goo who rises over and over again despite how many times he has been trampled upon on was really beautiful to watch. Not many young actors today can exhibit such stellar acting that could truly move people's hearts.

Inspiring. Deep. Heartwarming. That is "King of Baking, Kim Tak Goo."

I can finish this review in one line. Great story, Outstanding Acting, Amazing Music, Extremely Re-watchable and Perfect Overall.

I really like dramas that impress me beyond their promotion pictures or a raw summary provided before its premiere and dramas that involve a story of revenge and betrayal because these two emotions contribute extremely in the suspense and anxiousness of the story that keeps you hooked and if you're hooked then those actors, directors, crew members etc. have succeeded. This drama had everything I wished to see.

Park Si Yeon did an amazing job of making me hate her by acting SO real. Song Joong Ki portrayed the two sides so well that I was intrigued by both 'bad and nice' through out. Moon Chae Won is an all rounder with that perfect Korean accent and soft soft-spoken, calm voice she has. Kwang Soo and Yoo Bi, Yang Ik June, Lee Sang Yeob and Kim Tae Hoon were best at their roles.

The prolonged title is very attractive."Sesang Eodiedo Eobneun Chakan Namja"(A Nice/Kind/Gentle/Good-hearted/Pure/Innocent Man,the Likes of Which You Can't Possibly Find Anywhere in this World).

The OST has touched me very personally. It has the element of throwing away trust, taking the blame in love, loneliness, melancholy, change, darkness, chaos, calmness in every little thing in life, protection and the feeling of impatience for the sun to rise all night. It sets the mood of the drama and keeps you trapped.
I will watch it again because I was not disappointed for even a moment. It is just my kind of genre. I hope you'll be touched by it.
Go now. Watch it. :)

Wow did this take me a long time to finish...

Story: A typical revenge themed drama with a bit of romance thrown in there. The plot was very good in the beginning, dragged in the middle, and got good again by the third part. The pacing of each episode was okay but as a whole the drama felt way too long and it could have been so much more enjoyable if it was only 16-18 eps. I liked the ending because it was kind of open ended but you knew where everything was headed.

Acting/Cast: Uhm Tae Woong and Han Ji Min were amazing as usual but I loved their chemistry as well. I enjoyed the supporting characters and all the actors played their parts well. The drama however, could have did without Go Joo Won or even his character. His acting was bland and it made his character not charming or sympathetic.

Music: Overplayed but fit.

Rewatch: I liked most of the characters a lot that I might one day in the far away future sit through this again. Wish the drama was shorter though!

Final Thoughts: Revenge could have been a lot more exciting within the plot and tighter with a shorter episode count but its worth watching at least once if you like the main actors and revenge themed dramas.

Honestly, this was one of the best Manga-turned-drama dramas I have seen so far.

I have read the Manga, seen the Anime and can therefore say: loved it. And even if you have not seen them, you will still enjoy the drama.

Storyline:
Although the storyline is a bit naive, but the characters are well developed. Dialogues ars honest and informed (especially where the acting tecniques are concerned, not that I am an expert though).
It deals in comedy and romance. A very good combination for an entertaining drama. It's not neccessarily a page-turner, but it doesn't get boring and never drags.

Actors:
Choi Si Won and Chin King are an awesome combination. Both are very skilled with creating mood with facial expressions. They were well choosen for their parts. Same goes for Lee Donghae looks like he is enjoying the part of Bu Po Shang, the arrogant jerk. Chen Ivy is nothing like what I would have imagined her like after knowing her Character from the manga and anime.

Music:
Let me just say: SOLO is still stuck in me head...

Do not miss out on this one. It's a pleasure to watch and will make you laugh!

I originally watched Iris a few months ago in preparation for Iris 2. I loved Iris, so I was expecting a lot from the sequel. Unfortunately, I was let down. While I can admit that the action was fantastic to watch and a few things actually managed to surprise me, the rest of the show just wasn't doing anything for me.

One of my biggest issues with this show was the product placement that was going on. This show felt more like a 20 episode ad for Samsung electronics than an action show. So many unnecessary close-up shots that, for me, it really took away some of the enjoyment of watching.

Another big issue with me was the love story being told. While there was definitely one in Iris, it was nowhere near as prevalent as the one in this. Characters would be idiotic about things and make bad judgments because of some significant other. It was tiresome.

Speaking of tiresome, if you can manage to never get tired of the flashbacks in this show, I applaud you. One of my biggest complaints about Iris was the insane amount of flashbacks they threw in. One of my biggest complaints about Iris 2 will have to be the same thing. A few here and there is okay, but when you start tossing in multiple ones that last for a good 2-5 minutes each time, you just need to stop.

While I liked a lot of the acting in Iris 2, I wasn't really fond of the chemistry with the cast. This was my first time watching Jang Hyuk in something, and I can safely say that I'm now a fan. He had a way of just keeping me glued to the screen when he was on it. While Lee Da Hae herself didn't bug me, the lack of chemistry I was feeling between the two actors did. I simply wasn't feeling it.

I was absolutely loving the rest of the cast though. Whether they were playing a good character, a bad character, or even a neutral character, I loved them.

The OST was boring for me unless it was an instrumental being playing during an action scene. Very repetitive. A couple songs I didn't even like from Iris I ended up having to deal with here as well.

Overall, I gave this a 7 simply because I liked the cast and the action scenes.

This drama was completely different from what I expected it to be. I expected a romantic comedy that makes fun of what goes into creating a kdrama. The King of Dramas turned out to be so much more than that. Although It is a parody of what goes on behind the scenes, it takes that story to the heightened extreme, and makes what goes on behind the scenes more dramatic than the drama itself. There is a good amount of comedy and romance, but there's also bitter rivalries, action sequences, and tragic turns. The outrageous story is so well told, and acted, that it's believable in spite of how over the top it can get. Even the music sets the perfect tone. The real people behind this drama do an excellent job of keeping the story fast paced, and enjoyable throughout.

As far as the cast goes, I would give the 2 leads a solid 10. Kim Myung Min is not exactly a likable character at the start, but his portrayal of Anthony Kim had me from the beginning. I love watching a good villain, so a hero with villainous tendencies is right up my alley. He was the perfect contrast to the sweet, but in no way a pushover, newbie writer Lee Go Eun, played by Jung Ryeo Won. I loved watching them together on screen. They didn't have a necessarily steamy chemistry together, but they worked so well together, and their love story was fun to watch.

I liked the entire supporting cast, but I honestly found Si Won's character to be a bit annoying. I know that was kinda the point, and I know I will incur fangirl wrath, but I felt like he sometimes had too much screen time. Oh Ji Eun, on the other hand, seemed a little too forgettable for a second lead in a triangle. I did think Min Ah's and Kang Min rivalry was hilarious, and that they played their parts very well in that respect.

This drama was entertaining the entire time, never really dragging, in spite of being relatively predictable. The ending felt like It snuck up on me, because I wasn't quite ready for it to end, but it was actually the perfect length (it didn't drag, or feel rushed).

I would say this is a must watch KDrama within a KDrama, and for that I should rate it a 10, but for some reason I just can't classify it with my favorites. Maybe it's because the rewatch value for me is just not that high. I didn't know what to expect the first time around, so I am not sure all the excitement would be there with a second viewing.

Still, I think this drama should be praised for being original while simultaneously playing off of every drama cliché they could think of. At the heart of The King of Dramas is the questions "Why do we love dramas", and I think this drama does a pretty good job of answering that by giving us a little bit of everything. I would certainly recommend it to all ardent KDrama fans.

Prepare yourself for a ridiculously young Takizawa Hideaki - 17 at this time playing a high school student who falls in love with his 26 yr old homeroom teacher. Is the love returned? Would it be a drama if it wasn’t? Japan spares no details apparently with this tricky genre. Majo no Jouken, or Forbidden Love, is a fully fledged love story that jumps right into the story, the romance, and all the icky taboos and consequences of the younger man/older woman relationship.

In some ways, Majo no Jouken was a predictable roller-coaster ride as the ‘forbidden’ couple struggle to find acceptance in a society that doesn’t legally forbid their love, but certainly doesn’t know how to handle it. However, a variety of side characters add to the battle, including Hirose-sensei’s one time fiancé and Hikaru’s young and possessive single mother. And between these two, we get the feeling that there are some things even sicker and twisted than the relatively innocuous age difference of our show’s main lovers.

On a Technical Note:
This drama had me asking questions I never thought I'd worry about. The amount of time I spent surfing the internet studying Japanese legal age of consent; wondering if Japan really does consider it a psychological disorder for a woman to love a high school age boy; curiosity if Japan would really go to such lengths to depict one of the creepiest mothers ever before hinted at; confusion as to why I could care so much about a couple that seems so destined to suffer one crisis after another...

All fruitless efforts, really. Half mushy, half gritty, Majo's romance was a hot whirlwind of a mess, and not afraid of delving into serious life questions. What does a woman do when her boyfriend is uneducated and unemployed, and how does said boyfriend take care of a woman 9 years his senior? There is no instant maturity, no immediate solutions, and not every expectation will be fulfilled as first it was conceived. Kind of like... life.

I almost find it hard to recommend this, because unless you’re in the mood for a torturous road of almost Kdrama level proportions (though at least not in length), Majo no Jouken is a painful drama to watch. Even the initial sweetness of the romance is very nearly spoiled by a traumatic second half. However, if you love seeing actors portraying their characters well, and those characters being well-handled over the course of the drama, or if you just want to see Tackey back when he was young and adorable (as opposed to the older version which is just plain hot), then I guess you should watch it sometime. ;) And hardships aside, the characters really do make a sweet couple. I say that even remembering just how young he is here. At least that much is quite believable.

I was really into this drama... at first.

Its a rich woman who is really anal( up tight and strict). She goes on many blind dates which always turn out to be a mess so she hires this poor guy as her personal love trainer. At first I loved the guy and how cheery innocent and nice he was. He is also a wonderful cook and has a hot girl friend.

Now here is the downfall. The characters just become total asses. I didn't mind how the girl changed as it wasn't too bad, but what I hated most and had to drop the drama was because I was raging the whole time after the main male mc just becomes a total dick. He starts cheating and treats his gf like trash no joke fcking hate him !!!!!!

I am so angry with this drama because it ruined my favorite type with a rich girl poor guy romance.

If you have the same taste as my I suggest watching
Snow queen and Take care of the young lady and couple or trouble rather than this sht

This drama was all about the kids!! I just love dramas that discusses children and their daily lives. What made this different is these children are all living as foster children. Some have lost their parents and some have parent(s) but are there for different reasons. I liked this drama because we got to see each of the children back story which made the drama that much more interesting to watch.

As usual, Kimura Tayuka reins supreme in the human interest type dramas! His portrayal of Jiro was excellent. But I must say, there is nothing like seeing Takuya dress in racing clothing. My, my, my!!

Alas, don't be fooled about the romance label, this drama was NOT about romance. The two leads have nothing romantic between them to speak about. Sure, there are hints that they like each other but that is about it.

If you like dramas that tell a story, especially ones featuring a bunch of cute kids (to include a younger Toda Erika), you will definitely like this!!

This drama overwhelms me in a good way! My best friend recommended me this drama since I love psychological thrillers. It kept me on my feet and at times, I had to rewind back to closely read the subtitles while figuring what's going to happen next. There are many lessons to be learned in this show and undoubtly, this show is an unexpected jem that I came across. No moment in this show made me feel like a certain scene was completely unnecessary and must be taken out.

The excitement that the show has produced for me has taken me to the next level of psychological dramas. I definitely would re-watch several times just to intake the amazingness of the drama. The cast, the soundtrack, and the fast-paced story all melts well together. If you're seeking for a thriller that allows to think consistently and make you guess what will happen next, this show must be for you. The emotions that were played out moved me to the point where I believed that these events actually happened in real life and was loosely based of a true story.

I cannot compare this drama to anything that I've seen before. On the whole, the best part were figuring the reasons for the student actions based on the student childhood and background. This thought-provoking psychological thriller is a-must see and should not be overlooked.
