Happiness in a sarcastic way

Wow, this was just a fucking depressing movie. My eyes are pretty dry and it wasn't sad enough to make me cry, but this movie was just really depressing. Asian movies are so effing melodramatic. I've forgotten how much they love their melodrama. There's a line in this film that talks about how everybody loves their melodrama, and that's funny, because I don't think that's true. It's sort of like "Adjustment Bureau", but instead of a love story and a team of ninjas that make sure you follow fate, you basically get handed a "death letter". Depressing.

Story is what pulled me into this movie. Cast was what kinda kept me through the film. Music was ok; there was this scene were the violin piece just came in from nowhere and it was just so blatantly obvious, it made it horribly melodramatic.

Positive thing: I want to run my hands through Takayuki Yamada's long hair. I mean, even though his character looks and acts like a complete douchebag, just look at that hair. It's so shiny and it looks like he rewashes it for every scene. Glorious.

IGNORE OTHER REVIEWS

Please just listen to me. I don't know what other reviews said about this show to be disappointing??? All I know is Yim and Tutor have THE BEST CHEMISTRY EVERRRR!!!!! The fact that they make me forgot about the main pairing really says something. AND I AM SO GLADDD THEY HAVE THEIR OWN SERIES because this is DA BOMB!! I like how Jade is trying his best in solving the mystery of Mai's crush when he did not realize that he is Mai's crush. The way Yim portrays Jade is stunning and he knows that he has the best smile so he use it for his advantage in portraying Jade. I really like how the story shows that sometimes supporting role that supports you need their own support as well and if there is something for me to complain would prolly be THAT 8 EPISODES ARE NOT ENOUGH!!!!! please... give them more project cause what is this babe? 8 EPISODES????

Tutor on the other hand, WOW. The way he looks at Yim when playing Mai is really something else, man. I would honestly MELT. He looks really IN LOVE with Jade and it seems like he is MAI like Mai is him. I like how he is showcasing how he adore Jade as Mai and the action scene is not cringe either. I really laugh when I watch this series because IT IS SO DAMN FUNNY.

PLEASE WATCH THIS SERIES ON IQYI since the UNCUT scene is *CHEF'S KISS*.

P/S: I still cannot get over the part Mai wearing Jade's glasses tbh FUCKKKKKK but anyway, please ignore other review and watch this series.

I've just finished watching "The K2", and i really enjoyed it...
I can't say weather it is Ji Chang Wook (one of my most favorite actors, whom i've missed to see in dramas) or Song Yoon Ah (the step-mother) ,who mad this drama so impressive for me... The story was good enough, but the acting was the best and couldn't be any better...
I highly recommend everyone to watch this drama...

Hard to get over with...

Oh My God.. I felt sad after it ended.. I wanted to know what the fellow viewers are feeling. I ended up reading a lot of stuff regarding Hotel del Luna, reviews and went on downloading many pictures related to it, especially of GO CHUNG MYUNG character. He (Lee Do Hyun) resembled a lot like Kim Sang Bum (Kim Bum of Boys Over Flowers fame). .. ... . Even after two days of watching, I still feel pangs of pain. The ending was all fine and acceptable yet, hard to get over.. As the drama says - We should learn to let go than holding onto it, I should learn to let go of the sad feeling and so, I'm rewatching Hotel del Luna. So that, I can feel less sadder than before. :D

I watched this masterpiece twice and im sure that i`ll watch it again. I was sure that KP will be amazing even when it was not released yet. Waiting for each episode was totally worth it. Sometimes i was sad, because i should wait a whole week for new episode, but nonetheless i was never disappointed. In my opinion, the chemistry between the main actors is on high level. The plot, the cast and music was amazing. Every time i heard Why dont you stay, i was on cloud nine. I really like Jeff`s music and acting, of course. I feel sorry for Chay, he deserve happiness and i ship him with Kim ( i hope, in season two, they become a couple). Honestly, on the beggining, i dont think that Vegas and Pete will like each other, but they become my fav. couple of all time. Reading comments about them and i was like " but Vegas likes Porsche" and then "Vegas was with Tawan, maybe he still love him, why everyone think that he will fall in love with Pete??". Whatever. Im so happy for them, even though Vegas is a psychopath..
I love this type of dramas. Watching Kinnporsche is totally worth it.

Good Chemistry

Its a Series that U can watch if U want something that is not too Dramatic. The Story is very simple revolving the First Love...What I like most is the FRIENDSHIP they showed.. i missed my School friends when i was watching... the Parents also showed support.. I say that this Series is an OK to watch... simple yet enjoyable to watch...
CHARACTER:
FL & ML has a natural Chemistry... they are sweet & U can feel the Love by just them looking at each other... (see the Behind The Scene in YT... they are really sweet) AND... the Male SECOND Lead... OMG... he looks sooo damn HOT!!! its his debut hope to see him more.... he is also good in acting with nice body & good face....
What disappoint me is the Music.. sometime the Music is louder that what the character is saying...
BTW, their performance when they joined the Classical with Rock is really Awesome....

I Wanted to Love This More

I’ll trying and keep the spoilers to a minimum. When I read the synopsis on Netflix, I thought this would be a cute story of two people coming together for different reasons. The major plot twist caught me off guard and it took a couple of episodes for me to recover (I felt kind of cheated since the leukemia/bone marrow donor storyline was a lie).

The main villain’s evil/criminal brilliance is too perfect and not believable (he’s just a young kid, come on!). He was so brazen and always a step ahead of Ling and the police (arranged accident, poisoning(s), kidnapping(s), hypnosis, manipulation of everyone...no problem!).

I loved the romance and chemistry of the two leads but also enjoyed the growing relationships between the two supporting couples. After the emotional rollercoaster of this drama, I don’t know if I can handle season 2 even though it is not a continuation of season 1.

Overall, it was an enjoyable experience to watch!

The story was interesting, and keeps you on your toes. The overall tone of the film is very different from Chen Qing Ling. There is a bit more of a horror-mystery feel to it, with a dash of buddy-cop kinda partnership. Although it gives some more insight into Wen Ning and Lan Sizhui's characters, and expands on some more personal details about them, their own personal stories are somewhat overshadowed by the actual plot (which is fair, but may not be what people are expecting going into it). This is very much still a Wen Ning story, with Lan Sizhui more of a side kick (though he has chances to shine, of course!), and gives some great insight into Wen Ning's personal thoughts and insecurities. The plot felt a little rushed at the latter half, with events happening very quickly.

However, from a continuity stand point, I found it was a little strange in some parts. For example, Wen Ning now dons his Jin-imprisonment chains and uses them much more efficiently as weapons, rather than fighting with his hands as he previously had. In addition, he seems to have gained some spiritual abilities, which were previously not present. Although I'm not opposed to him having them, I'm thoroughly confused as to where he got them, and that discontinuity was a little disengaging for me. It can be assumed that some years have passed since the events of CQL, and it was interesting to see how Wen Ning had grown since those experiences.

Overall, the music was great, but definitely not in the same vein as CQL. There's an electric guitar riff that plays during the larger fight scene, which was kinda of disengaging. I felt it didn't really fit with the era, or with any of the other pieces played. My other (kind of spoiled) complaint was the visuals - they had a much higher reliance on CGI in this film (probably due to having a much tighter budget, I'm guessing), which felt out of place at times. There was much more 'magic whisps' when the characters were using their abilities, as well as just general things that felt weirdly out of place.

That being said! Yu Bin and Zheng Fanxing did a fantastic job with their characters - Wen Ning and Lan Sizhui really shined in this piece, and I absolutely adored them. Anyone who is a fan of them should definitely check this film out, because their acting was superb. Gao Han, as well, was fantastic - what an incredible shift between the clumsy, frantic mutterings of Xiao Yi to the cunning smirks and instability of Zhao Yi. They all did such a fantastic job with this piece.

beautiful plot could have done better..

i am just writing it casually not some detailed review so yeah..here you go!

The plot is not bad...
acting is beautiful...(by everyone)
chemistry is wow too..not just leads but the whole cast.
if the flow and execution was good it could have a beautiful bitter yet sweet...sadly happy and it would have touched more hearts.
still it was a beautiful watch ...after 4 ep it was not so good...but after 12 ep it picked up the pace ....i will rewatch it...i liked it...also second couple should have more screen time...but okay they developed the chemistry between them beautifully in the given time...

Good and must watch!

The Shipper is one of those few BL series that I have watched that has less to no flaws at all. If ever you found one, you can easily get past through it. From the beginning to the end, everything was delivered clearly, each scene was stitched seamlessly. There is only one thing that I don't like about this series and that is the main character's death. I am all for happy endings and feel-good plots that's why I have reservations for main characters dying in the series. Like WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY 😭😭😭 WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY. I was crying when I found out that Pan changed her mind so that Way will have a full life and finish what he needs to finish here on earth. I was actually half-hearted about that, like, how would pan live for the rest of her life as Way? How would she fill in Way's shoes when he is such a perfect student. He even won a national science olympiad. Luckily she changed her mind. Although I was very heartbroken about that like WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY 😭😭😭, but I'm glad she did the right thing (but my heart was torn to pieces trying to rationalize this situation 😭😭😭😭) Over-all, I am very happy with the series. This is one of those series that I am dying to have a season 2 and speaking of which, what was that scene in the end? Was that a teaser for a second season.

Bad ending

Great beginning and middle but last 3/4 was so draggy. Just dragged and dragged.

This could easily just be 16 or 20 episodes at the most.

Great acting. Great tension and music.

But the ending... How in the world did they decide on that ending? That young woman decided to go through with reporting it to the police instead of forever living in a life of luxury with her parents and what did she get in the end?

She became a cripple. The courts awarded her 1 yuan. She lost all her friends and her reputation for smeared. Her parents lost all face and reputation. The lawyer who helped her lost her license.

It is a joke. If anyone thought this was better than option 1, they are nuts. It was simply 10 minutes of bad sex at a hotel. And somehow because of that idiotic boy who is a idealistic moron with zero real world experience and gets her to somehow think that 10 minutes of bad sex can never be erased and forgotten and she deserves some justice for it. And as soon as things turn to shit, that same idealistic moron turns and hides behind his parents blanket.

Someone should really have knocked some sense into that young woman. She received all those gifts and so many chances to not even be put into this situation and so many chances to have a good life with her parents despite everything and somehow she was made to think that 10 minutes of bad sex is the most important event in her life.

If the CEO was an absolute monster or pure evil, then YES! Do everything to bury him. But he seems like a rich arrogant powerful bastard like many male leads in C dramas and I don't think he is a predator by any means and he got some wrong signals from her and is an asshole. But nowhere near evil or predator and he is someone that warranted to make a deal with and he gave her a real offer.

To me, everyone who did the most damages got off with no repercussions. The dad who physically assaulted her with huge slap. The idiotic boy who screwed up her life with idealistic bad advice. The police woman who wouldn't just let case go despite no real evidence. The body guard who called the media to make life hell for them when he could have just called the police. The PR woman who released her identity to social media. The gossipers in their building who tried to KILL them with bricks through their window. These people did so much worse than the main male lead. So much worse than 10 minutes of bad sex.

I guess maybe it is the real world.

Maybe the show is letting us know that we should be careful of idealistic morons and take the deal if it's a good deal!
